vocals, gitaar, contrabas, clawhammer-banjo, autoharp, tin whistle Elly had al een voorkeur voor folk en mooie ballads toen zij als 15-jarige op schoolfeestjes haar Joan Baez-imitaties ten beste gaf. Na een aantal jaren in de Ierse muziek te hebben rondgezworven, verloor ze haar hart aan een banjoïst en deed de bluegrass-muziek zijn intrede. Gedurende een tiental jaren speelde ze in het succesvolle trio Reckless Fingers en maakt ze inmiddels deel uit van verschillende bluegrass- en folkformaties.

At the age of 15 Elly had already developed a taste for folk music and beautiful ballads, and she was well-liked for her Joan Baez imitations at school parties and family gatherings. After playing Irish folk music for some years, she lost her heart to a banjo player and bluegrass music entered her life. For over 10 years she played with her husband in the successful trio 'Reckless Fingers'. These days Elly plays in several bluegrass and folk bands, including that of UK-based folk singer Bram Taylor. |

vocals, contrabas Beppie begon haar muzikale carriërre als gitariste/zangeres in 1981 bij de toen nog geheten New Lowland Bluegrass Band, maar al gauw pakte ze de basgitaar en later de contrabas. Ze raakte in de ban van bassisten als Mark Schatz en Edgar Meyer en haar grote zangvoorbeelden zijn Kate Wolf, Clair Lynch, Alison Krauss en Mollie O'Brien. Stuk voor stuk mensen die haar enorm inspireren, omdat ze verschillende genres vertegenwoordigen, zoals folk, bluegrass, jazz en swing. Ze heeft ruimschoots ervaring opgedaan in de bands New Lowland, The Double B Skiffle Group en Lazy Tater en maakt af en toe uitstapjes naar andere bands als gastspeler.

Soon, however, she picked up the bass guitar and eventually the double bass, on which she quickly bacame an accomplished instrumentalist. Beppie takes her musical inspiration from artists such as Mark Schatz, Edgar Meyer, Kate Wolf, Claire Lynch, Alison Krauss and Mollie O'Brien. She now plays in various Dutch bands: New Lowland, Lazy Tater. |

vocals, gitaar, mandoline Adri had al vroeg haar hart verpand aan bluegrass-muziek en heeft daar eveneens haar hart verloren aan een banjoïst. Haar brede en eigen(wijze) smaak in andere muzieksoorten brengt haar op vele muzikale paden. Mag graag muzikale uitstapjes maken met haar vrienden en is gek op harmony-zang. Richte ooit haar eigen band Roundabout op, speelde jaren in Flexibility, wat later overging in Flex & Kloos.

It was early in her adult life that bluegrass music won Adri's heart, and it didn't take her long to fall in love with a banjo player: bluegrass was there to stay! By now she has wandered down many a musical road and likes to play anything from folk to pop songs. She loves to go on musical outings with her friends, and is crazy about harmony singing. After founding her own band 'Roundabout', she went on to play with 'Flexibility', who changed their name eventually to 'Flex & Kloos'. Common feature in these bands was a varied repertiore, to fit Adri's broad and eclectic taste in music.
